THE University of Hull Scarborough Campus was a welcome sight for a group of disabled cyclists completing the third day of their 150-mile coast-to-coast challenge.
The 22 riders are all members of the EMpowered people charity, an organisation which encourages adults with additional needs to take up cycling as a way to increase fitness, independence and wellbeing.
The cyclists enjoyed their night of hospitality at the campus after a gruelling day completing their endurance challenge cycling from Morecambe to Scarborough.
The EMpowered riders were accompanied by a support team and a film crew. The resulting documentary, entitled Brew, Sweat and Gears will premiere at the National Cycle Show at the NEC next week.
Organiser Simon Lord said: “It is amazing what people can achieve when they are given the right support, encouragement and equipment.’
