NORTH Yorkshire County Council is encouraging people to sign up for its adult learning courses.
The authority runs GCSE Maths and English classes, and this year upwards of 78 percent of adult learners achieved A*-C grades.
County Cllr Tony Hall said: “These results show it’s never too late to learn and improve your functional skills to get to where you want to be. We are exceptionally impressed with the results from this year’s learners - it demands great commitment and determination to come back into learning after a long break from a classroom environment but such achievement means it is definitely worth the effort.”
