MORE than 800 people have now signed a petition to encourage resurfacing work on a main road into Selby.
The petition was set up in July by Nigel Adams, MP for Selby and Ainsty, to repair the surface of the Selby bypass on Wednesday, and within 36 hours, more than 250 people had added their names to it.
Now, the total stands at 801, and Mr Adams said he hoped the petition could help force North Yorkshire County Council and its partners to get together and improve the holes and bumps in the current surface.
