AN INTERNET challenge has seen York bar staff feel the chill for charity.

The Cross Keys, in Goodramgate, were nominated to do the ice bucket challenge by their colleagues at the Punch Bowl, on Monday, and gladly accepted.

Six members of staff took part by having icy water thrown over them in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Barman Jason Milner, 27, said: “I wasn’t expecting it to be so cold but it went well and we nominated The Habit, which is a couple of doors down from us.”

The staff will donate all their tips from this week to the charity.
