These picture collections are superb.

Does anyone remember the November funfair that used to come to Selby in the 1960's? It had the "caterpillar" ride - a sort of roundabout which had a line of little trucks that went round a bumpy track, and once it had started a green canvas roof completely folded over it so to anyone watching it looked like a giant caterpillar on a turntable. Of course the idea was that couples underneath would take advantage of a bit of privacy. This required a bit of determination as the canvas was filthy and full of dead leaves and old fag ends. In terms of excitement it makes Alton Towers look a bit naff.

Brilliant loved it! More please.
