York Castle Museum will remain open after hours for the public to explore its new exhibition, 1914: When The World Changed Forever to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War.
There is a special £5 price for entry between 5pm and 8pm to see the new exhibition, and there will also be a number of free bookable events on Monday, including the Silhouettes of War, from 2pm-3pm, a talk about the great-nephew of Captain Lawrence Oakley, the York man who designed some of the most iconic posters of the war.
