THREE people have been taken to hospital following a crash on a North Yorkshire road this afternoon.
The incident involved three vehicles and took place on the A162 Brotherton to Sherburn-in-Elmet road, close to Burton Salmon, at about 4.30pm.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said the vehicles involved included a Fiat, a Saab 95, and a van towing a digger on a trailer.
A spokeswoman for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said two men and a woman had been taken to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield following the crash - one man by Air Ambulance.
She said their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening or very serious.
The police spokeswoman said at least one person was believed to be trapped in the Fiat, and was being cut free by North Yorkshire Fire Service.
The road reopened just after 7pm.
