THIS year’s Selby Food Festival was a great success, organisers have said.
The festival took place outdoors this year for the first time on Saturday, July 12, with 25 stallholders brought to the town from across Yorkshire.
Organised by Selby Town Council, Mollie Sharp’s Cheese Shop and other local organisations, organisers said the day was helped by the weather.
Local shopkeeper and the main organiser Richard Sharp, of Mollie Sharp’s Cheese Shop, said: “I personally thought it was a huge success and hopefully a blueprint of what comes next in Selby. I don’t think I recall seeing Selby so happy before! We have already had offers of help for next year from shops.”
