A TRIO of half-centuries helped Clifton Alliance to a 124-run win over Gilberdyke in zone ‘B’ of the York & District Junior Cricket Association Hirepoint Plant & Tool Hire Under-15s Championship.

Clifton Alliance’s 172-1 included 53 not out from Owen Marshall, an unbeaten 53 by Joe Kilvington and 50 not out by Jamie Butt.

Gilberdyke were then restricted to 48-7, despite Nathan Creaser’s unbeaten 26, as Jack Heartshorne claimed 3-8.

Jack Foster hit 34 but was unable to prevent a defeat for Yapham as they closed on 84-6 chasing Londesborough Park’s 132-3, in which H Gamble made 50 not out and K Brooke 33 not out.

Malton & Old Malton batted first against Dunnington and made 129-3 thanks to Ryan Wharton’s 47 and 46 for Nick Lock. Dunnington’s Tom Loten was undefeated on 50 as his side replied with 102-8.

Hemingbrough were bowled out for 55 as they lost to Heworth ‘A’, whose Harry Sheppeard was 28 not out.

York ‘B’ could only muster 62-7 in response to Sheriff Hutton Bridge ‘B’s 99 all out. George Stephens hit 33 for Bridge.

In zone ‘A’, Tom Stubley’s 50 not out helped Woodhouse Grange to 130-3 against Bolton Percy, who were skittled for 36 by Harry Cooper (6-11).

Will Ellis took 4-8 as Heworth ‘B’ were 77 all out in reply to Ovington’s 112-5, in which Matty Roberts hit 29.

Elsewhere, Sheriff Hutton Bridge ‘A’ (69-4) beat Tadcaster Magnets (68-9), Acomb (47-3) toppled Stamford Bridge (43-9) and Selby (24) lost to York ‘A’ (29-1).
