TWO window murals featuring two cycling greats from Yorkshire have been created in Knaresborough to mark the Tour De France Grand Depart, which passes through the town this summer.
The murals depict the late Beryl Burton of Morley and Brian Robinson of Huddersfield, the first Briton to win a Tour stage in 1958.
The Trompe l’oeil murals, which have been unveiled at Knaresborough House in High Street, have been organised by Renaissance Knaresborough.
They were made by artist Julie Cope, with the approval of Beryl Burton’s daughter Denise Burton-Cole, the late cyclist’s husband Charlie, and Brian Robinson.
