IT sounds unbelievable, but today we tell the story of Scott Moore, an off-duty police officer who was told to dial 999 and request ambulance assistance for a man in his 90s who had collapsed three feet from York Hospital’s front doors.
To make matters worse, the man was presenting symptoms of cardiac problems.
The obvious question is why didn’t the crash team go to help? According to Mr Moore, it was because they refused to leave the building.
A spokeswoman for the hospital says they have no record of the incident in February and that common sense would always apply.
We trust that York Hospital will be true to its word.
