AN 85-year-old man was taken to hospital on Tuesday with serious injuries after his mobility scooter was trapped under a lorry in a crash in Harrogate.
The man's scooter was in a collision on Wetherby Road, close to Sainsbury's, at about 2.40pm.
A fire service spokesman said crews from Harrogate and Ripon were called to the scene when ambulance staff asked for their help to free the man.
He was taken to Harrogate district hospital with serious leg, arm and facial injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward by contacting 101.
