Keen cyclists in York are invited to get on their bikes to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK.

Pedal for Parkinson’s is due to take place in York on Sunday 22 June, starting at 9am.

Starting at York Racecourse on Knavesmire Road, the route will follow roads in the Yorkshire countryside with a choice of distance of either 20 or 60 miles are “designed to suit all abilities”.

York has been specially selected as just one of five locations in the UK, where the Pedal for Parkinson’s rides will take place.

Paul Jackson-Clark, Director of Fundraising at Parkinson’s UK, said: “We are delighted to be hosting a Pedal event in York once again.

“All funds raised will make a real difference to our work to improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s in York.”

The entry fee for both the 20 and 60 mile ride is £20 (£10 for 12-15 year olds). All cyclists will receive an exclusive Pedal for Parkinson’s finisher’s medal.
