THE latest missive from the council is that on top of all previous demands house-builders “must create travellers sites” (The Press, April 24). But why stop there?
How about an obligation to find a cure for cancer, eradicate world hunger and bring an end to all military conflicts? Planning permission only to be granted on completion of a written legal agreement to achieve these ends.
Little wonder that so few houses are being built.
Matthew Laverack, Architect of this parish, Lord Mayor’s Walk, York.
