I HAVE recently returned from “The Snows” travelling out to Manchester Airport on the TransPennine Express train at 3.52am.
It was immaculate, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable, with a polite ticket collector at that hour of the morning.
The train went out on time. It was the same on my return on the 8.25am from the airport. We hear so many poor reports of dirty cold trains, well done to TransPennine Express.
The only small grumble is that a trolley of refreshments would have been welcome; there always used to be one. I wonder why this facility has been discontinued?
