YORKSHIRE and the Humber has been ranked among the worst regions across the country for not eating enough fruit and vegetables.
According to figures released from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), households across the region are eating just three and a half portions of their recommended five-a-day, putting them in the bottom three alongside Northern Ireland and the North East.
London, South West, South East and the Eastern region came joint top with households eating an average of 4.3 portions of fruit and vegetables per day according to data gathered from 2010 to 2012.
