STRENSALL swimmer James Wilby will have to wait until Wednesday, May 7 to learn if he has earned a place in England’s squad for the Commonwealth Games.
The 20-year-old York City Baths Club star finished fourth in both the 200 metres and 100m breaststroke at the British Gas National Championships in Glasgow.
The competition doubled as trials for the Games, also to be held in Glasgow this summer, and Wilby has been widely tipped to make the roster.
The team was expected to be named after last week’s championships but the line-up will now be confirmed early next month.
