A MAN smashed the window of a car stopped at traffic lights in York by head-butting it.
The incident occurred at about 9.45pm on Friday, April 4, when a red Volkswagen was waiting at the traffic lights at the junction of Melrosegate and Hull Road.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said a man in his early twenties approached the driver's side window of the car and head-butted it, causing it to smash.
The 17-year-old driver of the Golf suffered a cut to his arm.
The suspect is described as having tanned skin, short black hair, and around six feet tall and of medium build. He was wearing a grey jacket with red sleeves and dark coloured trousers. He was with another man who had blonde curly hair and he was wearing a dark jacket with grey sleeves.
