PEOPLE near the Racecourse this week may have seen more than they bargained for as a nearly naked fundraiser took part in his own version of a "no make-up selfie".

Bradley Winters, 17, from Old Earswick, said he was inspired by the many girls he had seen posting pictures without make-up and donating to charity that he wanted to make his own contribution.

Donning what appeared to be a sock, he ran a lap of the racecourse, to so far raise about £350 for Cancer Research UK.

Bradley said: "It was freezing and raining but I ran round the whole racecourse. I think it could become the next thing for Cancer Research, to have more men running naked.

"My friends thought it was quite funny but they were proud of me."

Bradley said he wanted to do something as his nanna, Joyce died after suffering skin cancer.
