Stonebow House has never been a favourite building in York so the idea of changing its use to turn an eyesore into arty showpiece (The Press, February 13) containing apartments, shops, etc, may be a good one.
A roof garden and flower boxes for the apartments would brighten up the place, but to have the facade decorated like the Hundertwasser House in Vienna?
As the council will be sole controller of what happens, we have Renyard’s Garage for an example, we just have to hold our breath.
