New Earswick Indoor Bowls Club got their Yorkshire League Division Three season back on track with a resounding victory over Hornsea.
The 96-60 triumph enabled them to amass the maximum 18 points at stake.
At home, the team led by Brian Birch dropped singles on the first two ends.
But in a rallying of composure, Birch’s team only lost five more ends throughout the rest of the game for a comfortable 25-11 success.
Gordon Storey’s side won seven out of eight ends between the fifth and 13th to go from 6-3 down to 19-10 ahead. That surge underpinned a 26-19 win.
Away, Dave Elcock’s team were involved in a tight game where singles had been scored on 11 of the first 14 ends before they scored seven shots over the next three ends to give themselves a 17-8 lead.
Winning shots were traded before Elcock’s men ran out 20-11 winners.
Gary Jones’s side only lost two ends up to the 15th to build a solid 21-9 lead. The home side came back, but a single on the last end gave New Earswick a deserved 25-19 win.
New Earswick play Harrogate on Saturday, starting at noon, while York take on Doncaster at the same time. In the first division, New Earswick meet Selby.
