Residents not answering landline phones to avoid nuisance callers
A THIRD of people in York don’t answer their landline phone in order to avoid nuisance callers, a phone company has revealed.
The numbers come from phone provider TalkTalk, which said many people feel unsafe in their own homes because of nuisance calls, and 86 percent of people want phone providers to do more to prevent harassing cold calls.
TalkTalk has recently announced it was making privacy features like withhold number, anonymous caller reject, last caller barring, and caller display free to its customers.
