YORKSHIRE councils are asking the public for their views on sexual health services across the county.
City of York Council and North Yorkshire County Council took over responsibility for local sexual health services earlier this year, and now commission HIV prevention, sexual health promotion, genitourinary medicine and contraceptive services.
They are holding a consultation event today from 2pm to 4pm in the council’s West Offices, Station Rise, York.
More details can be found at northyorks.gov.uk/article/28212/Redesign-of-sexual-health-services-consultation.
Once the consultation has closed on Friday, February 28, the findings will be reviewed, service specifications finalised, and providers found in time for new contracts to be put in place by April 2015.
