MY WORKING life, apart from two years and six months on National Service, was in selling top-quality products with honesty.
I also recruited, trained, and motivated top teams, as potential leaders, across the country. This depended on trust.
I look at this Government, hoping to feel that trust. All I get is fast-talking, evasive, doubletalk and underhand dealing on behalf of individuals and companies who take the cream from what the nation produces, and avoid paying a fair share of the taxes which fuel it.
Education Secretary Michael Gove imagines himself as a master technician of these strategies. It’s so obvious, I wouldn’t trust him to run a street party, yet he runs our schools.
Our children are not fools. They shouldn’t be left to his mercy.
