Viking feast at the Minster
YORK Minster is hosting a Viking feast on the eve of the predicted Viking apocalypse Rangarok.
The Ultimate Viking Banquet takes place on Friday, February 21, the night before Ragnarok on Saturday, February 22.
The land for the Minster was given to the Chapter by a Viking Jarl or earl, and a new Viking Jarl and senior members of his household will welcome diners to the Minster and the adjacent St William’s College.
The feast is part of the 30th JORVIK Viking Festival, and will include a choral performance before diners are led by torchlight to dinner in St William’s College.
