POLICE officers were yesterday patrolling the banks of the Ouse as the search for missing York student Megan Roberts goes on.
They checked the riversides between Millennium Bridge and Clifton Bridge in the hunt for the 20-year-old who has not been seen since the early hours of Thursday, January 23, after a night out with friends.
Megan’s mother Jackie wrote on a public Facebook page thanking people for their support, and said that while the search goes on they still hold out hope.
Writing on the “Help find Megan Roberts” Facebook page Jackie Roberts said: “We’ve been given as much information as the police can give us and all evidence does point towards this being a tragic run of events with no one to blame.”
Ms Roberts also thanked the public and the police for their support, kindness and care during the extremely difficult time.
