A former soldier accused of the murder of a York estate agency worker is due to appear in court this afternoon.

Jeremy Peter Andrew Green, 25, was charged in November with the murder of Nicole Waterhouse, 32, and the attempted murder of her work colleague Karen Browne, 23.

Miss Waterhouse suffered fatal injuries at a flat in Phoenix Boulevard, close to the National Railway Museum in Leeman Road, on Sunday, October 20. Miss Browne was found at the same address with serious injuries.

Green is due to appear before Leeds Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing later today.
