YET another photo of a beaming Steve Galloway in The Press as he leads York to the front of a new eco-friendly building, a development designed to reduce carbon emissions. It sounds an exciting project.
Can I just ask the question; what about the extra pollution that all the extra traffic will bring?
Have any of the council leaders or managers tried to travel on the ring road or any of the roads into or in the area of Clifton Moor on a morning or evening rush hours? They will see it is gridlocked.
Surely, the priority should be to improve the road system first to clear the congestion and so reduce pollution before developing the site and increasing the problem - or is that being too logical?
