FAMILIES in York are being invited to get information and advice on training, education, jobs, childcare and finances at an event later this month.

The Aspire event on January 29 at Tang Hall Community Centre, organised by City of York Council, will also outline volunteering opportunities and is open to all families, with a particular focus on those with two-year-old children.

Organisations which will attend include Job Centre Plus, York Benefits, the Family Information Service, The Prince’s Trust, York Volunteering, Work With York and York Learning and National Careers. The event runs from 10am until 3pm and more information is available by phoning The Avenues Children’s Centre on 01904 551250.
