BRITAIN today is a society scarred by the ill-treatment of ordinary people. One instance of exploitation has been going on for so long now. This is VAT, one of the worst injustices in our history.
It’s possible to find anything good to say about this rip-off tax. In fact if it hadn’t been for Ted Heath, it surely wouldn’t exist at all in the modern age, having been introduced as a direct result of the United Kingdom joining the then Common Market.
I mean, here is a levy that amounts to an extra bill of over £500 a year for each of the 26 million households in Britain. And the more we have to pay out in VAT, the more money the faceless EU gets.
How so very dreadful if you have a large family to support.
