WITH reference to KM Kernek’s letter of December 14, he missed one reason why there was a poor response to the public consultation on King’s Square.

Could it be that the public have accepted that no matter what public opinion is, the council will ignore other views? After all, this council makes decisions behind closed doors; does not give enough time for proper consultation; and in some cases gives no consultation at all.

The proposal to join forces with council in West Yorkshire suggests they have no confidence in running the council of our great city themselves.
