THERE is a chance for residents to have their say about Selby District Council’s budget priorities.
Over recent years the council has delivered ongoing savings of around £3.5 million. Comments received by January 27 will help to shape the budget for the next financial year which starts in April 2014.
Leader of the council, Coun Mark Crane, said: “I think it’s really important that people have the information about how we spend public money. This budget consultation is part of that commitment. We have set out the principles behind what we do and the decisions we have made.
"It is also a chance for you to influence what happens in the future. We’ll be considering responses when we decide on our budget next February.”
