The Cast of Grand Opera House’s Christmas Panto, Snow White, paid a surprise visit to the Highfield Care Home in Barkston Ash, near Tadcaster.
Cast members Lauren Hood (Snow White), Rob McVeigh (The Prince), Marcus Patrick (The Huntsman) and Max Laird (one of the seven dwarfs) were decked out in their panto finery .
The home provides 24 hour care and specialist nursing to people with illnesses such as Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Motor Neurone Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.
A group of residents and carers from the home will attend a “relaxed performance” of the panto on Tuesday, December 17.
The environment has been specifically adapted for people and families of people with an autistic spectrum condition, such as sensory and communication disorders.
