A HARROGATE businesswoman has been chosen to contest her hometown seat for the Liberal Democrats at the next General Election.
Mother-of-two Helen Flynn, 50, who is also a local borough councillor, will stand in the Harrogate and Knaresborough constituency in May 2015 following a Lib Dem hustings this week.
She entered politics in her early forties, having spent six years in book publishing in Hertfordshire and New York, forming and running her own retail and mail order business and also working in the voluntary and community sector.
