POLICE are concerned for the safety of a teenager who has been missing from her North Yorkshire for several days.

Hannah Murnin, aged 14, has been missing since Tuesday, August 13, after leaving her home in the Birstwith area of Harrogate.

North Yorkshire Police said they were concerned for Hannah’s welfare and have urged the public to be vigilant and get in touch if they see anyone matching her description.

She is described as white, 5ft 4in tall, with a slim build, long brown hair and brown eyes. When Hannah was last seen she was wearing a black Barbour jacket, dark-coloured leggings and white pumps.

Sgt Derrick Day, of Harrogate police, said: “We believe Hannah is still in the Harrogate area somewhere, but it is possible that she may have travelled to another part of the county.

“I am appealing to the public to keep an eye out for Hannah and let us know if they see her. I would also appeal to Hannah to get in touch if she sees this appeal and let us know that she is safe and well.”
