A 16-YEAR-OLD boy has been sexually assaulted in a lay-by near Selby.
The boy was inappropriately touched in the incident at about 5.30pm on Saturday, in a lay-by at Intake Lane, Beal.
Although he was left shaken, he did not require medical treatment.
A 44-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault has now been released on bail to allow further police inquiries.
PC Stuart Henderson, of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you were in the area at the time of the of the assault and witnessed any unusual behaviour, I urge you to come forward straight away as you may have vital information that could help my inquiry.”
