A WOMAN has been eliminated from an inquiry into conmen targeting elderly victims.
Bank card fraudsters have been tricking people into handing over bank cards and pin numbers in York and Harrogate - stealing thousands of pounds.
The suspects, some of whom have disguised themselves and even cross-dressed to avoid being caught - struck seven times in York and Harrogate in late June and early July.
Police have now said that a woman shown wearing trainers and cropped trousers has been traced and is no longer a suspect.
