I FIND it completely disgraceful that the NHS refuses to fund young Corey Eastwood’s operation as reported in The Press of July 15.
His parents funded their own IVF treatment and did not expect the NHS to fund them – presumably they both worked at some point and still do paying taxes, PAYE etc.
We have to fund prisoners who demand sex changes. Recently women whose breast implants were faulty were paid for out of our taxes to right the wrong.
This boy with a healthy twin sister deserves better than this.
His bravery and determination to help himself should be rewarded with funding. After all, it is our money and I say he must receive immediate treatment.
