TELEVISION sports presenter Jake Humphrey took time out from his busy schedule to visit Huntington School to tell pupils about how he went from a small village in Norfolk to being one of the most recognisable broadcasters in the country.
Jake, 34, has spent the last four years as the face of Formula One, as well as hosting shows such as Sports Personality Of The Year and the London 2012 Olympic Games.
He will next be seen fronting Premier League football coverage for BT Sport.
Jake said, “It may be a busy time, as BT Sport is the most exciting change to British broadcasting in the last twenty years. However, it was inspiration I got from my teachers that gave me the confidence to believe a normal boy from Norfolk could go on to rub shoulders with the world’s biggest sporting stars.
“At Huntington School they have realised how important it is to give their students an idea of what it takes to be successful in the outside world. I really hope to add to that.”
