THREE men suspected of conspiring to steal a vehicle have been arrested during a North Yorkshire operation aimed at cutting cross-border crime.
Two 24-year-olds and a 40-year-old, all from Darlington, were arrested on Monday on the A1 near Knaresborough, where they were driving a Subaru car and a Volkswagen van which had been stolen from Hexham, in Northumbria, on June 30. Police also found vehicle parts which are believed to have been stolen in the van.
The three men are in custody.
