I WISH to appeal for information from readers.
My little black and white cat, Phantom, went missing on July 18. I heard on the grapevine that there had been a road accident involving a black and white cat at 7.30am that day on the A1036 road beyond the Hopgrove pub, approaching the Hopgrove roundabout traffic lights (at A1237).
However, despite searching the immediate roadside area within hours of said accident, I have not discovered my cat.
While I appreciate that she may well have been fatally injured, I am harbouring the distant hope that she may have been rescued by some kindly passerby and taken to a vet.
I wonder, therefore, if anyone has any information on this unfortunate event that they could give me.
Phantom really is the ‘Rolls Royce’ of cats and I am trying to think positively.
