I REFER to the article on Millthorpe School’s “Pupils’ Charity Challenge” in The Press of July 16 and notice that the British Heart Foundation (BHF) was not included in the list of charities benefiting.

We have been pleased to participate in this annual event for a number of years.

A note of heartfelt thanks to all pupils and staff who helped to make the charity day such a resounding success for the BHF and the other charities involved.

It was great to see so many pupils involved and having fun. The money raised will help the BHF fight heart disease.

Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer. For more than 50 years the BHF has pioneered research that’s transformed the lives of people living with heart and circulatory conditions. This work has been central to the discoveries of vital treatments that are changing the fight against heart disease.

But so many people still need help. Every pound raised, minute of your time and donation to BHF will help make a difference.

The BHF can only continue its life-saving and life-changing work with the help of people like the pupils of Millthorpe School.

Thank you to them for joining the fight.
