FIRE crews, police and highways teams were called in this evening to deal with a blazing car in the North Yorkshire countryside.
The Peugeot 307 was completely destroyed by flames in Mains Lane, Swinton, near Malton - between the A64 and Castle Howard - at about 5.15pm. Nobody was injured but the fire led to fuel spilling about 100 metres down the road.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire started accidentally.
