WORK on repairing a four-mile stretch of an East Yorkshire road will begin next week.

The patching scheme on the A165 between Wilsthorpe roundabout and Low Stonehill Farm, near Bridlington, starts next Monday and is expected to take a week to complete, with work taking place between 9.15am and 6pm Monday to Friday.

A new surface is due to be laid in September.

Traffic lights and a convoy truck will be restricting speed during the work and East Riding of Yorkshire Council said drivers should avoid the area where possible.
