A PILGRIMAGE for Peace and Economic Justice will reach York on Saturday on its journey from Iona to London.
A Walk of Witness will set off from Clifford’s Tower at 2.30pm, stopping for a 15-minute service at St Martin-le-Grand Church, in Coney Street, en route to St Michael-le-Belfrey Church.
A copy of the Iona Pilgrimage declaration will then be presented to the Precentor of York Minster, Canon Peter Moger, at 3.30pm.
A group of people from all over the UK are walking 750 miles from Iona, on the west coast of Scotland, to the Palace of Westminster.
