ABOUT a hundred greyhounds went for walkies together by York’s River Ouse yesterday.
The dogs were taking part in the Great British Greyhound Walk, an annual dogwalking event held at locations across the country, aimed at raising the profile of rescued and retired ex-racing greyhounds while also raising funds for the RSPCA.
The animals and their owners gathered at the Fulford Arms and stopped traffic as they crossed Fulford Road en route to the river.
