THEY may be long gone, in York at least – but trams retain a special magic.
This stunning collection of old postcards of trams is among the items going under the auctioneer’s hammer in Easingwold today.
The auction, being held by Summersgills at the Auction Centre from 11am, includes a collection of no fewer than 400 tram postcards, many showing York in days long past.
Also being auctioned today are copper printing plates from York, along with Victorian chests, Lalique vases, Royal Doulton China, Mouseman furniture, First World War and Second World War medals, butter churns, blacksmith’s bellows and much, much more.
