RESIDENTS living in west York will have their chance to discuss the city’s controversial development blueprint at a meeting tomorrow night.

A Rural West York ward meeting will be held at Copmanthorpe Methodist Church at 7.30pm, with local councillors Paul Healey and Chris Steward attending, and the agenda will include plans for new homes, wind farms and a showpeople’s site at Knapton under City of York Council’s draft Local Plan.

The plan is currently undergoing eight weeks of public consultation before being submitted to the Government and earmarks building 22,000 new homes across the city up to 2030.
