A YORKSHIRE MEP has backed calls for action to protect Burmese Rohingya Muslims following a documentary about their treatment in Thailand.
Liberal Democrat Edward McMillan-Scott said the “urgency resolution” he co-signed would be a “direct appeal” to the Thai Government to improve living conditions for Rohingya Muslims fleeing persecution.
The MEP said: “It is high time action is taken by the international community to address the endless suffering they endure.”
