POCKLINGTON Town came from behind to beat Poppleton Tigers 4-1 in the final of the York FA Under-11s Junior Cup.

Poppleton opened the scoring at Tockwith on 12 minutes when Patrick Brannigan rolled the ball into the Town net following a good solo run.

Pock went close through Jack Creaser and Josh Broadbent, but they were unable to get on level terms before half-time.

Broadbent equalised on 40 minutes, punishing the Poppleton defence for not clearing the ball.

Two minutes later, Will Snook hammered the ball into the Poppleton net from 18 yards.

Will Ellis put Pocklington 3-1 up on 58 minutes and Jack Creaser turned in a loose ball from six yards out to give his side a three-goal cushion.

The trophies were presented by Tom Radigan, chief executive of the North Riding County FA.
